How I work

Sometimes what we need most isn't someone to give us answers. It's someone who can sit alongside us, really listen, and help us make sense of what is going on.

I look at the whole of you: your thoughts, your feelings, your body, your relationships, and what is happening for you right now. Not just the problem you came in with.

You don't always have to find the right words. If words are hard, we can use pictures, drawing, objects or the sand tray instead. Some people find it much easier to show something than to say it.

You are the expert on your own life. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to give you a safe space to work things out, and to help you understand yourself better.

The room

A room you don't have to perform in

My counselling room is warm and quiet. There are blankets and cushions if you want them, and plenty to look at if meeting my eye feels like too much that day.

There is also a sand tray, small figures, art materials and objects on the shelves. Some people never touch any of it. Others find it much easier to show me something than to say it out loud. Both are completely fine.

About me

You don't have to arrive with it all figured out

I have ADHD, so I know from the inside what being neurodivergent is like. It can mean feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, like you are too much, or not enough, or always working out how to fit in.

I'm a queer woman. I work with LGBTQ+ clients and offer a space where you can talk about identity, relationships, gender, and everything that can come with it.

Most of all, I want you to feel you can be yourself with me. We can take it at your pace, together.
